Pada pertama kalinya aku dapat tontoni kehebatan Bayangan dengan kaca mata sendiri di Live Fact lama, Danau Kota, dimana beliau bersama kugiran aku berkongsi pentas. Dengan hanya berbekalkan sebuah gitar, Bayangan berjaya mempersembahkan sebuah dunia yang baru kepada pendengar dan penontonnya – dunia Neo-folk dari perspektif Fikri Fadzil.

Ya, Fikri Fadzil, penggerak utama The Wknd Sessions yang pernah menjadi sebuah platform untuk artis-artis baru menempa nama di persada arena alternatif tempatan. Fikri Fadzil yang biasa menjadi panel atau ditemu bual di station radio seperti BFM.FM dan ya, Fikri Fadzil yang cuba menarik sendiri scene muzik dengan segala kudratnya, walau akhirnya terpaksa berehat seketika. Kalau anda tahu semua ini tentang Fikri Fadzil, pengalaman menghayati album Bersendirian Berhad akan menjadi jauh lebih bermakna daripada hanya sebuah album Neo-folk yang sudah mantap dalam semua segi. Perspektif dan cerita – itulah yang membuatkan muzik lebih indah dan mengasyikkan.

Bersendirian Berhad dimulakan dengan ‘Gita/Malam’, yang memimpin anda ke dunia Fikri yang penuh dengan imaginasi dan tanda tanya. Ayat pertamanya yang diungkapkan dengan penuh berat hati ‘Digenggam rindu, bertinju-tinju, deras membeku’ menunjukkan kehebatan Fikri dalam mengekspresikan perasaannya dengan jujur, disaluti sedikit dengan perasaan malu, yang akhirnya dipakej seperti seorang manusia biasa yang senjatanya sebuah gitar, dan bukanlah popstar yang bumi Malaysia sering promosikan.

Tetapi lagu yang paling berkesan untuk aku merupakan lagu yang paling pendek di dalam album ini. ‘Kuala Lumpur’, single pertamanya, juga pernah digunakan di dalam documentary Vans tentang Pa’din Musa, menunjukkan ahli kreatif mereka yang juga berkongsi pendapat dengan aku. Lagu ini seperti mahu pendengarnya visualkan diri mereka di atas moto kapcai, meronda-ronda dari Masjid Jamek ke Dataran Merdeka dikala malam bertemu pagi, dan seperti liriknya ‘kegelapan yang semakin angkuh, terus bercahaya Kuala Lumpur’, Fikri, yang sudah muak dengan asam garam, tahu akan realiti Kuala Lumpurnya, dan mahu bandar ini terus hidup walaupun diselubungi dengan masalah.

Seperti yang aku sangka, Bayangan bagai seorang penglipur lara moden yang bijak menyampaikan muziknya dengan sekecil-kecil bunyi – tapi aku tak sangka album ini akan bawaku ke jalan-jalan belakang di Kuala Lumpur yang aku cukup kenal. Bayangan menggunakan ilmu dan pemerhatian Fikri Fadzil untuk membentangkan ceritanya dengan cara yang menarik, membuatkan Bersendirian Berhad antara album yang hampir sempurna tahun ini.
