Pelakon berbakat Beto Kusyairy baru-baru ini mengkritik kualiti filem tempatan/drama di akaun Twitter peribadinya beberapa hari yang lalu.

Beto Kusyairi, yang terkenal dengan penampilannya dalam filem CEO, Chow Kit dan Syaitan kelihatan seperti sudah ‘muak’ dengan plot cerita tempatan yang hampir sama. Beliau juga ingin tahu jika plot yang sering digunakan inilah yang dimahukan oleh penonton di Malaysia.

Pendapatnya disokong hebat oleh rakan seperjuangannya di industri filem seperti Zahiril Adzim (KAMI The Movie, Pekak) dan Anas Ridzuan. Zahiril, yang juga pernah berlakon dalam beberapa filem yang berkualiti, turut memberi kritikan dan pendapatnya sendiri.

Pakar kardiologi Dr Ben Rusani, yang juga merupakan penulis kepada novel Breathe pula memberikan cadangan kepada Beto agar mempertimbangkan untuk adaptasi novelnya kepada bentuk filem.
