Question: how do you date?
It’s always been a bit of a conundrum, dating. How do you meet people in today’s fast-paced digital world. Between apps like Tinder, dating sites galore and the ‘old-fashioned’ way of meeting people via mutual friends – my question is how do you do it?
Some of us here at The Level are in committed relationships, the rest are single. Ready to mingle, I don’t know. I haven’t exactly gone around quizzing my colleagues on their relationship woes. At one point, I went to lunch and my half of the table was The Level’s Lonely Hearts Club (I miss you Dani, I miss having an intern – please apply, and if you’re interested: here’s the link).
The last time I was on Tinder, it didn’t impress me. I didn’t even get slick one-liners, and that’s not really what I’m all about. The idea of Match/OKC/other dating sites kind of scare me. I recently found out that there’s a Muslim version of Tinder and that was… strangely surreal to hear about, but then again – halal speed dating is also a thing these days. The world is such a weird place now.
So, tell me in the comments – how do you date? How did you find your significant other? Tell me everything (fill the empty void in my chest with things other than sad Lana Del Rey songs)!
