Business and culture radio station BFM (89.9 in the Klang Valley) is no stranger in showcasing local talents – playing their songs on air every day, giving homegrown artists a chance to entertain us on those night drives. BFM took things up a notch in appreciating local talent by honoring the late great Sudirman with a heartwarming cover.

25 years ago today, Malaysia lost a gem in Sudirman, leaving us with hits like “Pelangi Petang”, “Salam Akhir” and “Balik Kampung”. In conjunction with that anniversary, BFM picked upcoming artist Bil Musa to cover “A Thousand Million Smiles”, a song that once made us proud on an international level. Coincidentally, Bil Musa is also an intern for their show, ‘The Evening Edition’.

Check out this heartfelt cover by Bil Musa right here. Kudos to BFM for this tribute!
