The Bee and Freeform did a wonderful effort to bring down Bootleg Beatles, almost an accurate reincarnation of the Fab Four themselves. Hundreds of Beatle fans came down to Publika to singalong to their favorite hits including iconic farewell finales in ‘Hey Jude’ and a cover of Little Richard’s ‘Long Tall Sally’.

But what intrigues guests were the inclusion of Masdo, Malaysia’s very own 60s throwback outfit, in the show. Masdo showed the scouse-rock cover band the might of Malaysian pop, and let’s say one of them, the John Lennon of the band (Adam George) in particular, was impressed.

Adam George, who likes a haunting reincarnation of the late great John Lennon, reached out to Masdo via Facebook, complimenting them, and offered the chance to write a song for them. We don’t know what Masdo replied him, but we can confirm that Masdo was ecstatic to receive the news.
