The food and beverage industry was rocked with the news that the Court of Appeal has granted an injunction in favor of Chatime to prohibit Tealive from operating a similar type of business. The news has since spread through social media and has left bubble tea fans worried over the closure of its favorite vendor.

However, Loob Holdings, the company behind Tealive, has officially issued a statement regarding the injunction. According to their legal representatives, Loob Holdings will file for a stay and for leave to appeal to the Federal Court.

Loob Holdings countermove also means that the Bubble Tea wars aren’t over, despite La Kaffa’s short victory this morning. The battle for the best Bubble Tea in town looks set to continue if the Federal Court approves Loob Holdings’ appeal.
