I’m On A Boat – Day 2

*If you missed out on Day 1, read it here!   Day 2 All worn out from the previous day’s activities, I woke up a little too late for breakfast – but there wasn’t an issue as I swung by Café Promenade for a quick bite. We were docked in back in Malaysia – Port Klang to be specific – and Royal Caribbean offered all guests the option to disembark for offshore excursions. Some of the other cruise attendees opted to disembark and explore what Malaysia had to offer, but being a local I wasn’t keen on leaving the...

I’m on a Boat – Day 1

By Matt Liew   “I’m going on a cruise!” That’s a phrase you’d rarely hear from your friends in their 20’s, bar the overenthusiastic rave junkies attending Livescape’s annual cruise/rave mashup It’s The Ship – but that’s a different story for a different time. KotakCon 2016

By Jeremy Say KotakCon has come a long way from last year and their first steps into creating a festival by hobbyists for hobbyists. The main sponsors KDU University College (Game Development), All Aboard CGC and in turn Boardgamecafe.net all deserve...

Held in one of the event rooms at the sprawling KDU Glenmarie campus, the ambience was designed to recreate a cabaret club in the 1920s, which would have totally worked if the lights were dimmed ever so slightly. The...

By Robert Wen If you were at TREC last Friday night and had trouble getting your car parked at TREC Kuala Lumpur, it’s probably because Tiger Jams Centrestage took place that night, featuring the massively over Scottish synth pop act, CHVRCHES. Tiger Jams Centrestage was the final night of the Tiger Jams Series that saw the bands Son of a Policeman, Rozella, and Donamarie given the opportunity to shine in the spotlight brought to you by Tiger themselves, as the final night featured not only the three bands, but also their mentors The Sam Willows, Darren Ashley, and ToNick...
