Electronic duo DangerDisko have just released a catchy new single in collaboration with Q-Sound alongside a stunning-looking music video called ‘Free’. The director Al Ibrahim and producer Jillian Ong have certainly teamed up to create a music video that’s oozing with style and charm. It combines a catchy bassline with rhythmic beats atop the supernatural story of a girl that a man finds laying outside on the ground. Q-Sound’s dulcet R&B vocals really nail it here – overlaying perfectly on top of Dangerdisko’s retro-ish dance beats.
Born in Wichita Falls, Texas, Q-Sound grew up in Fort Smith, Arkansas before moving to New York to study music in 2003. 2009 marked his departure from New York to Kuala Lumpur, where his influence helped expand the local jazz/art scene with sold out shows in the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas as part of the DFP Happy Hour Series.
Dangerdisko is one of Malaysia’s most iconic DJ/Producer duos with huge influence in Nu Disco and Synthwave scene. Performing for close to a decade, Dangerdisko have collaborated with some of Malaysia’s most prolific artists such as Sheila Majid, Jaclyn Victor, Ning Baizura and Adibah Noor. Their debut album, Hedonism, released in 2015,saw 10,000 downloads as of 2017.
