For the first time ever in Dew Challenge history, Mountain Dew has welcomed Singaporean teams to join the tournament besides granting access to viewers to watch the game live, “making this year’s Dew Challenge bigger and bolder”. As the saying goes, go big or go home!

The great Dew Challenge 2017 DoTA 2 Tournament kicked-off in Penang over the duration of two days and saw teams to battle and clinch the top four spots within the region in order to proceed to the group stage. There were a total of 20 teams and 100 participants altogether in Penang. The top four teams that rightfully claimed their place at the group stage are: Penang Hunter, Exes, 5noob and Maisloki.

The second leg was held in Kuantan, Pahang. Out of the 20 teams, only the top 4 continued on to the next stage. Teams that made through the group stage are ShroudFanBoiss, Team Solid, WildfireD and 100+.

In total, there were 1,440 participants from 288 teams: 224 Malaysian teams and 64 Singaporean teams; with each team consists of five players. Players need to battle it out on a state level to before they can proceed to the finals. Additionally, fans, friends, family and supporters are welcome to go all out in supporting the teams by catching the forthcoming rounds in the following regions and locations:

Malaysia

Johor at 818 CC (Johor Bahru) on 18th and 19th November 2017.

Selangor at INC (SS2) on 25th and 26th November 2017.

Singapore

Pasir Ris at Colosseum on 11th and 12th November 2017.

Outram at Alienware on 18th and 19th November 2017.

Subsequently, the top 24 teams from Malaysia and the top 12 teams from Singapore will then compete at the group stage level which will be held on 25th November 2017 at Alienware cyber café in Outram, Singapore and 8th December at INC (SS2) cyber café in Selangor, Malaysia. Then, only the top four teams from both countries will proceed to the finals to battle and rough it out for the championship title (glory) and the grand prize loot of SGD50,000 (gold), and will be held from 9th to 10th December 2017 at Berjaya Times Square.
