Day 4, and no one could have predicted the top 8 that we got after a week of competitive play – especially the top 4 for TI6. The top four teams stand a chance to win that massive grand prize of nearly 9 million USD and have already automatically secured more money than Na`vi did in the first International with 1.4 million USD.

Today we saw underdogs Digital Chaos SUNSfans their way up the lower bracket. We can’t help but cheer them on into the finals as they certainly do deserve it after such skillful drafts and plays throughout the tournament. Moo clearly has stepped up his game today and has to be recognised as the MVP of the day with such skillful decisive plays. DC not only took down the OG killer TnC, but even more impressively, took EHOME 2-0 all in one day.

In just as a surprising fashion, a Fnatic 2-0 Team Liquid finish saw a clear fan favorite out of the tournament. The recently underperforming Fnatic seemed to found their Mojo as they fought their way up to top 5 finish. We shall see tomorrow the two SEA teams duke it out and possibly break DC winning streak for SEA pride.

Underlord revealed

Underlord revealed

Lastly, the All-Star Match proved entertaining and revealed Underlord to the public as N0tail showed off what the hero can really do in a 10v10 situation. Sadly Pit Lord, Underlord’s Warcraft name, can’t be used for obvious reason but who cares. We finally will soon have all the heroes from Dota transferred to Dota 2. Then we can truly see if Icefrog still has the magic to make a brand new hero not constrained by a Warcraft engine.
