We’ve seriously missed the vibe of Future Sound Asia’s Good Vibes Festival– the last one, held in 2014, featured Ellie Goulding and Empire of the Sun alongside an all-star lineup of local indie heroes, and it was a bash to remember.
While 2015 was just a bad year for live events in general, it looks like Good Vibes are going to break that bad mojo with their lineup announcements for the festival this year- and they’ve just released ‘Phase 1’.
Behold, Good Vibes Festival has just announced the presence of The 1975, The Temper Trap, Two Door Cinema Club, Purity Ring, and a whole lot more on our shores at long last.
The 1975 are riding high off their a stunner of an album I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It, and will definitely be pulling in crowds regionally especially after a glorious set at Laneway Singapore earlier this year.
Two Door Cinema Club will return after pulling out from Urbanscapes a few years ago when vocalist Alex Timble suffered from laryngitis and had to be replaced by local rock maestros Kyoto Protocol.
The Temper Trap on the other hand, will be coming with a brand new album called Thick As Thieves this year releasing a new song on Youtube called “Fall Together” that left the fans drooling for more new material.
Bukit Indah indie boys The Fridays will also join the star studded lineup alongside Subang Jaya electronic powerhouse Enterprise, indie legends Seven Collar T-Shirt, Irfan Iskandar’s new band Toko Kilat, and many more.
Future Sound Asia, you’ve done it again.
