Malaysian newspapers say the darndest things. From inappropriate headlines to insensitive pictures of car crash victims, there’s a whole archive of newspaper bloopers that are facepalm-worthy. But this may just be the one to shame us in the eyes of the world.
According to Sinar Harian, there are four major ‘addictions’ that are difficult to be cured.
The post, which was first uploaded on Facebook by a concerned netizen, received the info from Sinar Harian’s hard copy. The post then went viral on Facebook, and now being talked about more on Twitter.
This isn’t the first time Sinar Harian has received flak for their LGBT related content. Just a few days ago, Sinar Harian also claimed stereotypical gay and lesbians descriptions in an inaccurate manner based on biased observation.
According to the newspaper, gay men like to wear tight clothes, branded clothing, grow beards and mustaches and are gym junkies while lesbians hate men and like to be alone. Another concerned netizen posted it on Facebook and was quickly picked up by international news such as The Guardian, Washington Post, Huffington Post and the Evening Standard.
What do you think of the issue?
