Heineken®, a world renowned beer is the official Global Beer Partner of Formula 1®. It is with this partnership that Heineken® has launched two great campaigns, one of which encourages responsible drinking.

The name says it all, “When You Drive, Never Drink”. With a new TV commercial starring Sir Jackie Stewart, a road safety pioneer and Formula 1® legend, the message is that abstinence is the only option behind the wheel.

The other campaign being launched is, “More than a Race”, which will feature former Formula 1® driver and current TV commentator,

. The message for this one is that a Formula 1® race is more than a two hour race, but a 3 day event filled with thrills and excitement.

Well, obviously we need these strong messages, and Heineken® has to put their money where their mouth is. They are doing so by initiating multiple initiatives to promote safety and drinking responsibly. There will be rebates provided for specific ride-hailing services as their event venues. Not only are the Kuala Lumpur’s entertainment hubs being targeted, but the Sepang International Circuit during the Malaysian Grand Prix as well will be equipped to ensure no one has to drive home drunk. There will also be digital timely reminders to consumers at places such as TREC and Changkat Bukit Bintang. All to promote the educational message of “When You Drive, Never Drink” to more than 4 million Malaysian Drivers.

The Malaysian Grand Prix for those wondering will be held on the 30th of September to the 2nd of October at the Sepang race track.
