American singer-songwriter Halsey has released a new version of one of her songs for the latest movie in town, The Huntsman: Winter’s War, which stars Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, Emily Blunt and Jessica Chastain. Halsey reworked Badlands LP highlight, “Castle” and released a newly tweaked single for the movie on April 8th, 2016.

The menacing tunes of the original have been replaced with strings, which brings the regal anthem into the fairy-tale world of Snow White and Evil Queen Ravenna. Halsey recently made her MTV Movie Awards debut, as she performed this new soundtrack jam with fake snowflakes swirling around the stage and audience. She won many hearts that night, with her brilliant and powerful performance.

Halsey’s debut album, Badlands is currently sitting at the no.47 spot on the Billboard 200. Last year, her album debuted at No.2 on the Billboard 200 in August with a very impressive first-week tally of 97,000 copies. Its breakout single, “New Americana” has sold nearly 300,000 digital downloads.

The 21-year-old Halsey’s music is unique and darkly compulsive in its own right. Her latest single, “Castle (The Huntsman: Winter’s War Version)” is slowly but surely gathering steam on pop radio, and is working its way up music charts all around the world.
