It was all glitz and glam at Hilton KL as actors, directors, production members celebrated the 15th BOH Cameronian Awards in fabulous fashion. Three major productions: the critically-acclaimed ‘Kandang’ by the Actors Studio Seni Teater Rakyat, ‘Kathak’ by the Inner Space Dance Company and ‘You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown’ by SIFU Productions were listed as the Best of 2017, while the nominee list includes The Pillowman and the Actors Studio’s ‘FAME’.

Guests were greeted by a fine performance from Christopher Ling and his team as they built a beautiful stage setup that caught the guests attention. The awards’ night started with the Music Category, with the Temple of Fine Arts sweeping both the Best Production Values and Best Group Performance – instrumental for ANKUR: Under the Kanyan Tree.

It was a tight battle for the Best Actor and Best Director awards but Kandang’s lead actor Ashraf Zain and director Omar Ali brought the honors home with their extraordinary performance in the Malaysian adaptation of George Orwell’s Animal Farm.
