Lenovo, like any other competing tech giant has launched a multitude of products at the Consumers Electronics Show (CES) 2017. Gianfranco Lanci, president and chief operating officer of Lenovo, had this to say, “Our approach to innovation is to ensure we’re constantly evolving and understanding how technology is infused within every individual, business and home.” Let see how they stack up!

Lenovo Legion Y720/Y520 Laptop

The new sub-brand, Lenovo Legion, looks like a beast and finally Lenovo has released a gaming laptop. As a VR capable rig, this thing got all the bells and whistles, which includes Dolby Atmos surround sound. Sadly there is no support currently for 1070 or 1080 options. That shouldn’t deter you too much since a 1060 is still plenty strong and with the inbuilt Xbox One wireless controller support, mobile gaming couldn’t be easier. The Y720 (1,399.99USD or ~6,252.36MYR) should be out in April and the Y520 (899USD or ~4012.96MYR) in February.

ThinkPad X1 Series

The ThinkPads have always been the workhorses of consumer laptops. I grew up using them as a student and they were durable and easy to use. The Carbon X1 is a light 1.13kg (2.5 pounds) 14-inch IPS laptop with up to 15 hours of battery life. It also happens to come with Thunderbolt 3 ports. Look for it in February for 1,349USD or ~6024.63MYR.

The X1 Yoga is a flexible piece of machinery with a 14-inch OLED display and a “rise and fall” keyboard. All this for 1,499USD or ~6694.35MYR in February.

Meanwhile, the X1 Tablet is lightweight and modular with a integrated projector for presenters on the go. Snatch one of these nifty things in March for 949USD or ~4238.23MYR.

Miix 720

This is Lenovo’s answer the the Surface Pro 4, a 12-inch Windows 10 tablet with a detachable keyboard that is already bundled. This device comes with Thunderbolt 3 for all your high speed needs and can be paired with a multifaceted Lenovo Active Pen 2. This puppy will be retailing for 999USD or ~4461.53MYR in April and you can get the Pen for 59.99USD ~263.49 if it is not already bundled. I can’t tell you anymore as this information was clean off CES and every country will have a slightly different package and deals. Now that this article is done, time to go drool over that side panel screen.
