10 years and 18 movies, with many more to be released in the future, Marvel Cinematic Universe is definitely one of the biggest film franchises in Hollywood. I have a confession. I was a little too late on the Marvel movies bandwagon. I never really had an interest in superhero movies but upon discovering Iron Man for the first time, I was instantly hooked. Within those ten years, Marvel Studios has garnered a lot of fans from across the globe by portraying the best parts of comic books with jaw-dropping scenes.

11. “I’m always angry.” – Hulk (The Avengers)

When Captain America tells Banner to be angry, Banner turns around and says “That’s my secret, Cap. I’m always angry,” and he instantly turns into Hulk and lands a punch on the Chitauri, an extraterrestrial shape-shifter.

10. Puny God (The Avengers)

When Loki was about to brag about how he’s the son of a God, Hulk interrupts his monologue by smashing him on the ground. Loki was left on the ground, probably thinking about how embarrassing that was.

9. Doctor Strange Bargains with Dormammu (Doctor Strange)

“Dormammu, I’ve come to bargain.” After a failed attempt of protecting the Earth, Doctor Strange watched as the Dark Dimension took over the planet. As the last attempt to protect the innocent Earthlings from being engulfed by the Dark Dimension, Doctor Strange entered the Dark Dimension, where he bargained with Dormammu. Of course, Dormammu didn’t agree with Strange’s request, so he killed him. But it didn’t work, because the two of them were stuck in a time loop forever unless they reach a mutual argument. Dormammu, feeling confused, asks if this was an illusion. Dormammu tried killing Strange multiple times but he came back every time, saying that he wanted to bargain. This went on and on until Dormammu became frustrated and he pleaded to Doctor Strange to set him free.

8. Avengers’ Circle Shot (The Avengers)

This scene gave me goosebumps. It’s just a simple circle shot of all the members of Avengers but it’s truly iconic. The camera pans in a rotation shot revolving around the superheroes as they prepare to protect the world from the Chitauri.

Death of Groot (Guardians of Galaxy VOL. 1)

Everyone’s heart broke when they learned that Groot died. We all thought that he would be rebirthed but that’s where everyone went wrong. James Gunn, the director himself confirms the death of Groot and everybody was devastated

Yondu as Mary Poppins (Guardians of Galaxy VOL. 2)

As Peter Quill and Yondu descended to the ground, Yondu holds onto his weapon and yells “I’m Mary Poppins, y’all!”

5. The Airport Scene (Captain America: Civil War)

I think pretty much everyone agrees that it’s not a Marvel movie if it doesn’t include some kickass battle scenes. This one is definitely one of the most memorable scenes in the history of Marvel movies. There’s so much happening and the battle was epic. In this scene, fans get to witness their favourite superheroes showcasing their different abilities, as Captain America prepares to face Iron Man.

4. W’Kabi surrenders to Okoye (Black Panther)

Black Panther is one of the most highly-anticipated movies of 2017 and it deserves all the hype that it’s received with plenty of memorable moments that we think deserve to be on this list. The movie includes a lot of moments that feature the empowerment of women by the portrayal of Dora Milajes, leader of a team of women who served as special forces of Wakanda. Although Okoye and W’kabi’s romance does not receive much screen time, it is still a pretty important part of the movie. Okoye, who served Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan), asked whether Okoye would kill him, to which Okoye responded by saying “or Wakanda? Without a question.”

3. Thor VS Hulk (Thor: Ragnarok)

Stuck in an unknown planet that looks like a desolate wasteland, Thor was initially extremely confused as he tried to find his way out. So when Thor saw his old friend, Hulk (that hadn’t been seen since Avengers: Age of Ultron), he felt relieved to find somebody that he actually knows. However, the relief he felt was short-lived. It’s not the Hulk that Thor knows. He’s big, angry and agitated – and he’s out to kill him.

2. Steve Rogers’ Transformation (Captain America: The First Avenger)

During the initial parts of Captain America: The First Avenger, we all know him as the scrawny-looking guy who definitely did NOT deserve to be in the army. When Dr. Abraham Erskine fled to America, he joined the Strategic Scientific Reserve where he used his serum on Steve Rogers. He was assassinated by HYDRA right after that.

1. Tony Stark Reveals That He’s Iron Man (Iron Man)

When all the other superheroes like Spiderman and Batman tried their hardest to conceal their actual identities, Iron Man made the decision to just come clean and hid no secrets from the public. When he finally revealed that he is indeed Iron Man, the press went absolutely nuts.
