Minut Init, the go-to venue for alternative indie performances and poetry slams will be rebranded in the next few months.

In conjunction to that, the good people at Alam Bunyian, which consists of the members of Shuuna, Mafidz, Oceanlights and Seikan No, together with the management of Minut Init will throw a grand farewell party for the venue.

According to Moja, Shunna’s guitarist and organiser of the event: ‘The main thing that we’re trying to highlight is actually about the rebranding of Minut Init into something bigger. The venue itself will undergo a facelift, the name will be changed into something else. Though, it’s definitely not the end for Minut Init as it will still live on as an organizer rather than an event space. Why would we ever want to end something that has achieved so much right?’

‘Obviously they wanted to say goodbye with a bang, and that’s where Alam Bunyian came in. The boys of Minut simply told me they want to plan a gig with good bands to promote their rebranding, but I had other plans. I applaud the hard work that organizers have done to keep the scene alive all these years, but I think we all would agree that it’s about time for us to step it up a notch, bring back the hype of our local indie scene, exactly how it was back in 2007, 2008 era. What I mean by weis not not just the organizers, but also the bands, and most importantly our beloved music lovers. Hence, a line-up that you could never say no to, super reasonable ticket prices, and that camaraderie amongst music lovers across Malaysia.’ He continued.

Alam Bunyian appointed electronic dream pop duo Pastel Lite, Ramayan, Iqbal M and Orkes A Hizadin as the headliners – all of which are in high demand in this promising indie scene.

The ticket sales have been convincing as the first batch of tickets have sold out.

Come celebrate a new beginning with Alam Bunyian and friends at Minut Init:
