Malaysian director, producer and singer Namewee recently went globally viral with his latest satire music video for ‘Makudonarudo’.
Namewee, who once made headlines over his controversial ‘Negarakuku’ song, produced more than enough to make up for it, namely last year’s Merdeka 60th theme song ‘Ali Ah Kao dan Muthu’ and his movie, Nasi Lemak 2.0. The artist, who has over a million subscribers worldwide,is also very political, as ‘Banglasia’ received mixed reviews during Malaysia’s craziest political phase a couple of years back.
But now, he’s at it again with his slapstick comedy, this time as a parody to Westernised Japanese words like McDonald’s, Starbucks, and more. The video first surfaced on 9GAG and now has been viewed for over 7 million times on his channel alone.
After Logan Paul’s career plunged down the devil’s hole due to his recent controversial videos in Japan, Namewee played it smart in producing a video even the Japanese took a liking.
