Normally sneaker brands don’t go the animation route with they come up with collaborations, but New Balance did just that when they released a new line in collaboration with the iconic Japanese anime, Evangelion.

The Fresh Foam Cruz silhouette gets a synthetic mesh upper and flexible heel tab ensuring easy slip on of the shoe. The midsole is comprised of New Balance’s Fresh Foam midsole and a gum outsole, complemented by a range of muted colours that easily match any outfits you throw at it.

Other than that, the shoe comes with a stylish, Evangelion inspired white zip up bag instead of a normal box.

However, the new models are set to only be released in Japan and China on the 9th of September, retailing at about 100USD average. There’s no word on a worldwide release as of yet, but keep an eye out for updates.
