Woe is us. Despite several rumours floating online about a release of Pokemon Go in Asia over these next few days, developer Niantic, Inc, the geniuses behind the geolocation-based game Ingress, has announced that there are currently no plans to bring Pokemon Go to Asia immediately.

You’d think at least Japan would get it but noooo.

Niantic’s agency, fortyseven communications, sent this statement to IGN SEA:

“The team is currently heads down working on the game. We do not have any announced plans for countries beyond New Zealand, Australia, US and Germany at the moment.”
