One of Japan’s most famous manga, One Piece, will have an exhibition titled “Eiichiro Oda presents Hello, One Piece Luffy is here!” at ISETAN The Japan Store Kuala Lumpur in Kuala Lumpur, from Saturday, 26 August to Wednesday, 18 October 2017.

The exhibition will feature various colour illustrations, a replica of Eiichiro Oda’s desk at his workplace, and also has a virtual reality area with content specially handpicked for this exhibition, shown for the first time on Earth. For fans, this exhibition shall exclusively depict the evolving artistic aspects of the author, Eiichiro Oda.

Patrons can also experience “new sensations” with the One Piece characters in a virtual space. With an exhibition space of 300m2, visitors have ample space to fully immerse themselves into the world of One Piece.

As a new endeavour to honour the historic 20th anniversary of the series, Malaysia was chosen as the first location of its new exhibition because our colourful country is well-known for its otaku and Manga/anime fan communities.

One Piece is a Manga which was serially featured in “Weekly Shonen Jump” magazine in 1997,  gaining a large loyal readership and a loyal fanbase; the rest they say is history.
