Converse And Vans Release Sneakers In Tartan
You can now wear Christmas on your shoes. Vans have recently announced their collaboration with Opening Ceremony to release the Plaid Pack, and if you haven’t managed to guess the theme yet, the shoes will be covered in plaid patterns, including the midsole. 2 colours make up the collection, in classic looking red and green adorning the Vans Lampin silhouette. Very clean.
Or if you have some sense of brand loyalty, Converse may be able to satisfy your fancy. Just yesterday, A$AP Nast from the A$AP Mob, released a mid-century inspired line of Converse shoes, comprising of plaid covered Chuck Taylor’s and corduroy-ed One Star. The soft hues and relatively muted colours of both of the shoes make it easy to pair with pretty much anything.
The Vans Plaid Pack will be releasing on the 1st of December in Opening Ceremony stores or online for a mint USD 95 a pair (approximately RM 391), and the A$AP Nast collaboration will only be available at Footlocker’s flagship at Times Square, New York, unfortunately, but don’t let that bring down your Christmas vibe. There’s always the resell market to look forward to.
