After contacting a source from Webe, The Level has learned that there will be no official word till April 13th. Keep those fingers crossed!

In the midst of Maxis being butchered in the name of transparency by netizens, a new telco player, Webe, has emerged out of nowhere with exciting new plans for you impatient ones.

Webe is apparently a brand under P1, the company behind the now defunct W1MAX, and was established after being bought by TM. The website is no longer online, but the people at lowyat.net got a glimpse of what could be the most industry-killing offers to date.

We’re talking about 20GB of data, 1000 minutes of talk time, and 1000 SMSes from RM10 per month – with no contract obligations. This will also be offered to existing P1 customers who purchase a phone together with the plan. Thanks to website MalaysianWireless.com, there’s even a screenshot of the plan, for your viewing pleasure.

For the ones who opt not to purchase the phone along with the plan will have to pay an extra RM9 per month, and also an additional RM10 to enable hotspot tethering for their plans. All in all though, you’re still paying less per month than you would for most Maxis, Celcom, or Digi subscriptions, – and that’s definitely worth it.

We guess that when this goes live July 2016, you’ll be waving goodbye to your laggy internet connection and ask, “Maxis who?“
