KakiDIY teams up with The School at Jaya One for its first ever MakerLAB – an upcycling makerspace that focuses on innovation, invention, and creativity using available materials. Taking place this 25th and 26th November, the MakerLAB will feature workshops in arts and craft, STEM, Coding, Electronics, Woodcrafts, Pottery, Sewing, 3D Printing, and more – taking over the entire first floor over at The School.
The space will include a classroom area, a workshop area, worktops, plus tools and 3D printers!
“The three main excuses of the public when it comes to DIY (Do-It-Yourself), repairs and making things are ‘no space’, ‘no tools’ and ‘no experience’. Hence makerspaces are the perfect solutions to this problem. As The School is an enrichment mall, it is the right place to host the like-minded MakerLAB here,” said Johnson Lam, the founder of KakiDIY.
Following the MakerLAB, the Mini Maker Fair comes to KL for the first time, featuring plenty for all to take part in! With more than 80 participating booths and the experiential Art Zone, Tech & Electronics Zone, Science Zone, Hands On Zone and Workshop/Talk Zone, arts, science, and DIY culture will meet for a celebration like no other.
Workshops and a host of exciting activities also await! For more information, head over to the Mini Maker Fair website here.
