You heard it right, the tickets for Kuala Lumpur SEA Games will be up for grabs right after Hari Raya! (Hari Raya starts on June 25) Now that’s some crazy good timing right there, no? LOL.
Malaysian SEA Games Organising Committee (MASOC) chief executive officer, Datuk Seri Zolkples Embong recently announced the exciting news over the weekend and he added that there will be events that would require tickets and those which are open to the public for free.
Some sports events will take place indoors with a limited number of spectators, and therefore, you will be charged. The less popular sports such as boxing and weightlifting will be free to the public.
Tickets will be on sale via online for the official opening and closing ceremony, held on August 19 and August 30 respectively. It will be hosted at the newly renovated Bukit Jalil National Stadium that is expected to accommodate more than 70,000 numbers of spectators.
Our Youth and Sports Minister, YB Khairy KJ also spills on Twitter that there will be a mobile app for you to download to keep up with the games’ schedules and updates. The schedule will feature the SEA Games’ 38 sports and 405 events while the 9th ASEAN Para Games will have 16 sports on its schedule.
So be sure to grab your tickets and support our local athletes this August!
