Of late, Smashing Pumpkins have gained a reputation forchanging members, and was even dubbed the “Billy Corgan” band at one instead due to Corgan’s seemingly untouchable place atop the band heirachy. However, ever since guitarist James Iha made a cameo appearance on stage with Corgan & co. in March, there are rumors that the original band might just pull off a reunion – with even D’arcy Wretzky is not writing off the possibilities of her being back on the bass again.

To top it all off, recently Billy Corgan dropped the biggest bomb so far – something that might give fans the clearest sign of a possible reunion.

Billy Corgan asked the fans to expect something “big” soon. In a vlog, Corgan said that “there’s some big stuff happening. We’re making plans. I can’t give that away, but it’s going to be interesting”.

Smashing Pumpkins had their maiden performance in Malaysia with Nicole Fiorentino on bass and Mike Byrne on drums. Will we see Iha, D’arcy, Chamberlin, and Corgan on the same stage again playing hits like 1979, Today, and Tonight Tonight?

Time will tell. For more updates regarding the rumored reunion, get yourself updated on The Level My.
