Sony Malaysia’s first ever lifestyle concept store opened its doors to the public with the launch of their EXTRA BASS concept store in Asian Avenue , Sunway Pyramid. Despite the physical stores having a setback in competing with online rivals, this did not stop Sony from creating their physical store into a place where culture, art and commerce collides to promote a particular lifestyle that relates to the millennials .  The launch led by the Managing Director of Sony Malaysia , Satoru Arai was accompanied by a tour of the store and dance performances by Katoon Network, Faris Azim and Puteri Aisya . The Leng Sisters kept the crowd and media entertained with their special DJ set while some shoppers try their luck on winning prizes from Sony.

Through the lifestyle concept store, customers are served with a unique shopping experience with its creative display that hosts a range of EXTRA BASS series headphones to wireless speakers.  Aiming to create a lively store that captures the goodwill of the local community, the store also plays the top tracks in Spotify Malaysia every week and has a sharing board for the community as part of their initiative to create a Music Information hub for the young generation. Sony Malaysia also collaborated with local clothing line Pestle and Mortar for the launch which projects Sony’s personal lifestyle to enhance consumer stimulation and excitement.

Along with the launch of their first lifestyle store , Sony Malaysia introduced three new EXTRA BASS wireless speakers ; the SRS-XB41 , SRS-XB31 and SRS-XB21 models which will be available on sale from June 12th onwards .  The new models are equipped with the new LIVE SOUND mode for a live music gig experience and has a capacity to connect up to 100 speakers to create a Wireless Party Chain via Bluetooth connection .  Powered with 24 hours battery life , the SRS-XB41 and SRS-XB31 users can bring their EXTRA BASS wireless speakers anywhere without having to worry about charging them in a short time. For those who want to take their music experience further, the ‘Party Booster’ feature  can be used like an instrument and is able to detect tapping from 5 different directions .

The new models are priced at RM 409 (SRS-XB21) , RM 569 (SRSXB31) and RM 809 (SRS-XB41) respectively (without the GST) and comes in solid and two tone colors . Visit the Extra Bass Store in Sunway Pyramid to test them out for yourself today!
