The Taiwan Excellence Pavilion made a comeback with a second edition at IOI City Mall, Putrajaya from the 10th to 12th November 2017. The exhibition, which is free to the public, showcases a variety (over 5,000 products) of Taiwanese innovation, ranging from ICT wares (laptops) to the home and living sector (lifestyle products, personal care items, home improvement gadgets and sporting equipment). After all, Taiwan is famous for its tip-top standard in providing consumers with creative and advanced tech products.
“A key aim of the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion is to help establish a bilateral relationship between Taiwan and Malaysia by forming collaborations in different sectors, while promoting cooperation with Malaysian industries and boosting Taiwan’s image in the region. This is highly relevant as Taiwan is Malaysia’s eighth largest trading partner and also its ninth largest export market, making it crucial to develop consumer preference for Taiwanese products.”
Aside from the exhibition, visitors were treated to performances by Aiman Tino and Ana Raffali among others. Even Jinnyboy made an appearance in the event! Over three days, the exhibition was filled with product presentations, performances and prizes worth over RM10,000 to be won so some visitors definitely *ahem* benefited from the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion!
Among a big bunch of Taiwanese products, here are five that caught our eyes:
Small form factor folding bicycles are always convenient to carry around (example: MRT/LRT rides) and a great way to navigate trough traffic.
This is functional and convenient for senior citizens as Malaysians do a lot of walking and sometimes there are no chairs around. Of course, this product is not limited to the elderly, but also those in need of a walking aid or the truly lazy among us.
“The Thinnest High Performance Gaming Notebook” by MSI to date.
It’s a Republic Of Gamers product. ‘Nuff said.
All play, no work makes Jack an unproductive boy, so this Acer laptop is all business over pleasure.
