This week we have news on the upgrade for the Google Cardboard, Daydream; Disney Researchers show off an adorable hopping robot; Dungeon Keeper™ is free on Origins; Valve tries to cash in on reintroduced graffiti sprays in CS:GO and Netflix is bringing us Iron Fist.

Google Daydream

Arriving this November (sadly currently only in Australia, Canada, Germany, and the UK) is Google’s Daydream, Google Cardboard’s big brother. This comfortable fabric VR headset is Google’s answer to the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. What is great is that it can be used by users with glasses and we won’t have Oculus Face after using it.

Priced at USD 79 it’s a tad pricey, but WAY cheaper than either the Oculus Rift or HTC Vive. It also unlike the Oculus comes with a controller that will let you interact in you VR world. It allows you to point and make movement gestures like a wand.

Lazada Malaysia

This is an amazing product to look into for VR virgins or those who want to save money.

Disney Researcher creates Untethered One-Legged Hopping robot

Lazada Indonesia

Disney Research made an adorable one-legged hopping robot. If anyone remembers Pixar’s  Luxo Jr you will see what I’m getting at. The robot is ingenius in the fact that it’s untethered. With all the sensors and servos to keep it upright, it’s a technical feat that will be bouncing into our hearts.

Dungeon Keeper™ Free

EA has dished out a free classic game, Dungeon Keeper™, that I probably shouldn’t have been playing when I was 9. This is a really old game but a classic. Who didn’t want to play the bad guys for a change and make their own dungeon?

Only catch is that it’s free on Origin – no big deal. Well, you get access to it forever at least.

Valve stop taking our money! CS:GO got a recent update which added graffiti sprays. I would say after looking at the system they employed, boy, do they want to milk this as much as possible.

There are three ways to get the sprays:

  1. Buying individual sprays from Steam Market
  2. Burning Graffiti Boxes
  3. Collecting free weekly drops for ranking up

Oh, I forgot to mention you only get 50 uses.

Netflix’s Iron Fist

At the NYCC ‘16, the Marvel Iron Fist Panel just happened! Kung-fu glory here we come!

Iron Fist is a martial arts practitioner and wielder of mystic force known as Iron Fist. He also has partnered with Luke Cage to form the superhero team Heroes for Hire in the comics.

Going back to the TV realm, announced at the panel that we will be later getting Marvel’s The Defenders. We will get to see the team feature Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage. One of the other bombshells told to the crowd by Jeph Loeb is that Sigourney Weaver will be playing the villain in Marvel’s The Defenders!

Hopefully Netflix doesn’t break again when they introduce Iron Fist as well as all their other future amazing projects.

Well that’s all for this week’s Toy Box. Keep in touch and if you find any interesting thing let us know in the comments below or tweet me @Husk1e or @TheLevelMY.
