Urbanscapes, the longest-running creative arts festival, just announced their headliners for the first phase.
Contemporary R&B star Khalid, popular for songs like ‘Location’ and ‘Young Dumb & Broke’, will be coming to Malaysia as part of Urbanscapes’ major attractions and his own world tour. The 20-year old recently released a tour poster, citing Bangkok and Singapore as his destinations that sparked a conversation between Malaysian music lovers about his potential appearance here. This will be Khalid’s first time in Bolehland after his rise to stardom just a year ago.
Indie alternative band Wolf Alice will also be coming down to Malaysia — finally answering the prayers of many indie rock lovers. The UK-based band, who performed at Laneway Festival last January, is coming as part of another round of tours promoting their Visions Of A Life album after hits like ‘Yuk Foo’ and ‘Don’t Delete The Kisses’ exploded on the social media sphere.
Thai indie darling artist Phum Viphurit, New York’s BODEGA, and South Korea’s Se So Neon are also in the list together with local favorites Midnight Fusic and Bil Musa — both who are now equipped with new material.
Urbanscapes will be held from the 3rd to 18th November at separate venues scattered around Kuala Lumpur, which suits their theme, #REIMAGINEKL. If you like the first round of names, wait until you see Phase 2.
