Welcome to the Weekend Planner, your weekly list of must-go events to get you ready for the weekend! With so much to do and so much to see happening every week, we had to put together this easy guide to what’s hot – whether you’re into concerts, gigs, art festivals, or conventions.

Morningwood presents Oral Fixation

Morningwood’s event isn’t the only game in town, but certainly Subang’s first ever Oral Fixation. A gathering of writers and poets, the event will showcase the rawest original Malaysian stories and expressions. The poet list features the likes of Sheryl Lynn C, Muhammad Zhafir, Hankit Mok, Yohanna Yusrinal, Syaza Pauzi and more.

Maha Jeffery Live at Merdekarya

Well-known for his powerhouse vocals, Maha Jeffery will be performing his final show in Malaysia before he flies to the UK at our very own homegrown venue, Merdekarya. Famous for his electric covers and originals, Maha Jeffery, together with Raz Karan and his bandmates make up TMJB – a band worth remembering for their singalongs and quirky showmanship. However, Maha Jeffery will go solo with a much mellow and soulful setting and if you’re lucky, the frontman will be playing songs that he has never played with TMJB.

Come drink your liver out and enjoy Maha Jeffery’s last hurrah.

Time: 8pm

Venue: Merdekarya, Petaling Jaya

Admission: RM10 cover or One drink minimum per person
